Daikin

Daikin Industries Ltd. is a Japanese multinational and world leader in fixed air conditioning systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications. Founded in 1924, it is present in 135 countries with more than 40,000 employees and 37 manufacturing centres.
 
In 2006, with a transaction valued at approximately 1.7 billion euros, Daikin Industries Ltd. acquired O.Y.L. Industries Bhd, a company based in Malaysia that operates worldwide in the areas of air conditioning, refrigeration and handling with the brands McQuay Acson, J&E Hall and York. 
With its acquisition of O.Y.L., Daikin now controls a new factory in Italy, near Rome, which produces a wide range of chillers.
 
In 2008 Daikin acquired Rotex Heating Systems GmbH, thus entering fully into the heating market.
 
It has been operational in Italy since 1968. In 2002 Daikin Air Conditioning Italy S.p.A. was founded, the leader in Italy in the field of air conditioning and heating for residential applications as well as commercial and industrial systems. Three offices in Italy ensure a widespread presence both for professional and private customers.
Daikin Italy's headquarters are in San Donato Milanese, in the province of Milan, home to all the company's managerial functions.
